We met Dina and her family through my mother. A lovely family living in a village in the north, and it is impossible not to fall in love with them at first sight. They always receive their guests with warmth and love. They homeschool their children, so the house is always full of joy and laughter. They have an unusual love for nature and their yard is full of herbs and citrus fruits. However, one thing sets them apart from all the other families - Dina, the mother of the family, is without a formal status in Israel (neither a formal citizen nor a resident). There is a serious lack of awareness in Israel to families in which some members are without a formal status. We feel that this issue deserves a bigger stage, and recognition of our society.
